EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Section Internationale, La Celle-Saint-Cloud & Noisy-le-Roi is run by APESEB (Association des Parents d’Elèves de la Section Britannique), a non-profit organisation made up of parent volunteers.

Meet the current Committee members

President

Yvonne Rémond-Murphy  has been a member of the Section Internationale  since 2011. Born in Ireland, her first international experience brought her to Germany, where she worked for two years in Köln. She moved to France in 2002, where she is currently working for the Conseil Départemental des Yvelines.

Treasurer

Fabien Delanaud joined the committee in 2021. Born in France, he spent 20 years abroad in Canada & the UK and moved back to France in 2018, where he is currently managing a software company focused on Mobile Money in Africa. Fabien has 2 children at the Section Internationale.

Vice President

Jean-Philippe Grenet has been a member of the Association since 2019.  He is a French native who spent a significant amount of his career on international assigments and who lived abroad a few years (4 years in Japan, 2 years in the US, 1 year in Ireland). A geek to the bones, Jean-Philippe is taking care of all the IT related activities for the association. An IT engineer degree in his pocket, he worked for big US international companies his entire carrer. He has a son in 3ème at Collège La Quintinye.

Secretary

Lynne Mphande has been a member of the Association and the committee since 2014. She worked on the marketing committee and became the Association’s secretary in 2017 . She is currently vice-president.
Born in Scotland, Lynne completed her law degree at Edinburgh University and then became a qualified solicitor. She moved to France in 2000 to work as an in-house lawyer in the Oil and Gas industry where she is currently employed. Lynne has four children, three of whom are in the Section Internationale in La Celle-Saint-Cloud, the fourth having graduated with an OIB..

Parent Representative : PRIMARY WEDNESDAY PROGRAMME – PASTEUR PRIMARY SCHOOL

Sébastien Desharnais and Kaori Okabe joined the Association in 2022 when their daughter Missaki became a CE1 student of the section. Sébastien is a dual French and Canadian citizen while Kaori is Japanese.

He has lived for six years in Texas, while studying for his MS and PhD and has worked in Germany and India. He currently works as an electrical engineer for an American company.

Kaori spent 16 years in Hiroshima, Japan including 10 years at the United Nations Institute, on capacity development programs in the Asia and Pacific region. She then moved to France in 2012 for her second Master’s degree at Sciences Po, Paris. As part of her Master’s program, she developed environmental education curricula based on indigenous peoples’ knowledge at UNESCO HQ.

Parent Representative : COLLEGE LOUIS PASTEUR, LA CELLE-SAINT-CLOUD

Cécile Lefebvre Chirol is the parent representative for Collège Louis Pasteur and has been a member of the Section Internationale since 2019. Born and raised in France, she emigrated to the USA with her husband in her twenties, where she worked in pharmaceuticals and raised her children. After 16 years in New Jersey, in 2019, her family decided to move back to France and settled in La Celle Saint Cloud. She has two sons in the Section at collège Pasteur and one daughter at lycée Corneille who is an alumni from the Section.

Parent Representative : COLLEGE JEAN BAPTISTE DE LA QUINTINYE, NOISY LE ROI

Céline Delanaud was born in France but spent 20 years living abroad. She emigrated to Canada in her early twenties, living in both Toronto and Montréal. 10 years later, she moved to Reading, UK where she worked in primary schools with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. In 2018, after 10 years in the UK, she and her family decided to move back to France. She has 2 children in the Section, both at the Collège de la Quintinye. Céline currently works at the Marly Le Roi college as an “Assistante de Personnes en Situation de Handicap”.

Parent Representative : LYCEE CORNEILLE – LA CELLE-SAINT-CLOUD

Lani Tatard , originally from Saigon , holds  an economics degree from the US including postgraduate degrees from  France and Germany. She worked as an international oil/gas management specialist in France, the US and Caribbean. A member since 2016 volunteering/giving back as Class Reps for College and Lycée. She joined the commitee in 2022 as she believes “education is the cornerstone of liberty”. She has 2 children in SI and a third as an alumna.
